Reliving McHenry, One Shirt at a Time.

815 Rewind was created to celebrate the restaurants, bars, and hometown hangouts that helped define growing up in McHenry County. Though many of these local favorites are gone, the memories and the stories live on.

The idea started unexpectedly. After moving to Fort Bragg, North Carolina with her family, founder Stephanie Czekalski connected with Pinehurst videographer Russ Dixon through an unrelated business project. During a conference call, Stephanie noticed Russ had an 815 area code.

That small detail sparked a conversation about their shared hometown roots of McHenry, Illinois. What began as a chance connection quickly became a friendship, and eventually an idea.

They realized there was an opportunity to honor the places that brought people together: the restaurants where everyone met after school, the bars where lifelong friendships were formed, and the hometown businesses that became part of local history.

Each design in our McHenry collection is a tribute to those places and the memories they created.
